The Southsea food scene is about to welcome a bold new flavour. Hoggies Portsmouth, a brand-new Hog Roast restaurant, will open its doors on Monday 15th September 2025 at 37 Marmion Road, Southsea. The venture, co-founded by local entrepreneurs Mark Legg (Director at Synergy Success Network), Lewis Filer, and award-winning chef Simon Hartnett, promises to bring slow-roasted perfection, locally brewed drinks, and a vibrant community atmosphere to the heart of Portsmouth. With a focus on slow-roasted meats, generous portions, and relaxed dining, Hoggies aims to bring “big flavours and friendly service” to the heart of Portsmouth.
The idea behind Hoggies is simple: quality food, done properly, served in a relaxed setting. Guests can expect slow-roasted pork and chicken cooked to perfection, crispy crackling, stacked rolls, hearty plates, BBQ-inspired sides, and an inviting drinks menu; including Hoggies’ own beer.
